Wise Words

I think a lot in song lyrics, Bible verses , and quotes that I make up and just know from a number of sources. This page will be used to get them down on "paper" and I am considering talking about the quotes importance.

I do ask that if you use quotes that I have signaled as mine, to please quote me if you plan to use it for something.

If you're going to stand in the water, at least dance around and enjoy yourself. -Angie Post

I though of this quote because of someone I know being very set in their ways is the best way I can say it. This person is being stand off-y from me and it reminds me of standing in water. The second part of this quote is that if you are going to be upset, angry, or whatever, at least take advantage of it and have a little fun. I understand this quote might not make a lot of sense but I like it a bunch :)

Don't forget where you've been and don't worry about where you're going. - Angie Post

I used this quote for my cousins wedding advice book that was done at her wedding shower. It's pretty self explanatory but I really think it can work even outside the context of a wedding: The past is the past for a reason but that doesn't mean that it doesn't go away and your future is going to be sure (God willing). So, relax and enjoy the ride.

The past is the past, so shut up and live. - Angie Post

I thought of this quote in like middle school or early high school. I don't exactly remember why I came up with it but I'm going to say that I was getting frustrated with someone bitching (for a lack of a better term) about how much their past sucks. My advice is the above quote: Okay, I get it your past might have sucked but you have a life now that you need to focus on living.

I wish I was strong enough to lift not one but both of us / Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us. - B.O. B Ft. Taylor Swift "Both of Us"

This lyric is really encouraging to me personally. It's basically me admitting that I don't have everything perfect right now but that I am wanting...desiring to be able to support more people. I might not be able to do it with money but I can do it with my time. Someday, I want to be able to have a handle on myself and have a relationship with someone who I can also lift up. Anyways, I love this song.

You said hello to me, you're no longer pretty that's for sure. -Match by Match "American Crowbar"

I got into this band within a couple of months. They're local and I love their lyrics. This song, honestly, makes me think of Patrick is "bad" ways. Maybe good ways, depending on how you look at it. When I first heard it , I was like "You know, I don't really find you attractive anymore." They may sound mean but ya, those are my thoughts. Along with that lyrics I also enjoy All we've got is one another which is from the same song.

Ya'll two nigs need to stop. but you cant tell him to stop. Dont go up to him tonight or tomorrow, or sunday, or on his birthday, or during ramadan, or yom kippur, or Leif Erickson Day, or any day, and tell him how he needs to handle shit. or how he needs to change. - Cahill Courson

This amazing quote has to deal with Patrick and how I should handle being around him and how we shouldn't talk EVER until I know I am ready. It was great and it made remind me how much I love my big brother :)
